Limerick Thu, 12th Mar, 2026  One And Only This morning I wondered should we run the horse on this bottomless ground, but he galloped through it. We left all the headgear off him today and I thought he did it very genuinely. There weren't many of our horses right this season and he wasn't 100 per cent either and at Fairyhouse the last day, a horse fell in front of him and he was pulled up. He is a fine big horse and is athletic looking.

Naas Sun, 8th Mar, 2026  Healys Pub We’re delighted. Things have turned quick,. I thought the horses that were favourite might have more pace than our horse, and that we’d probably end up being second or third. . I was wrong and I’m happy! . He might have made a mistake at the last, but he was foot perfect before that. . I think we have a chaser with a bit of ability. That’s probably where he’s going to go now. . He might have one more run over hurdles. He’s only five and it might be a bit unusual to jump a fence at that age, but I think that’s where he’s going. . He loves soft ground and in a month’s time you probably won’t get it.  . There was a bit of a cloud over the yard for along time and along with the horse that won yesterday, they were the two that avoided it most.

Our previous winner was in the Leinster National at Naas and there has been a cloud over the yard since. It hasn't gone away yet but we think we have a couple of them right now and thought this fella was right. This horse was fairly right during the whole (sickness) period and it is 15 years since I had sickness in my yard. You almost forget about it, but this season has brought it back. This is a strong type, he is robust enough. I'm delighted as I thought it would never happen again!
